This term, the Monday pool session is slightly different. We will be going to the larger Darlington pool, meaning we have enough space for half the pool to be used for skills such as learning how to roll or playboating and the other half to be used for additional polo training.
Meet at Maiden Castle at 19:45. We hope to be back in Durham by 23:00.
Development ladies league polo tournament, open to all abilities. Bring a dry set of clothes.Â

It's getting to the end of term, and I think we're all feeling properly festive by now (except for those Grinches out there).
Thank you everyone for making this an amazing term! It's been a long and a cold one but especially the enthusiastic spirit of our newest members has got us through. This year has got to be a record for intake, and I hope you've all fallen in love with the club like we did many moons ago.
Some highlights:
and so much more!

It's about time we had another white water river trip. So unless there's a lot of water about and I (Molly) decide to go off and do some big-boy paddling, we will be doing a trip next Saturday. It'll be fairly easy, but I'd recommend not coming if you're not confident on paddling forwards and steering a bit. More details will be released when I know what river levels are going to be like and how many drivers/leaders we'll have.
Meet 10 am at Maiden Castle.

Since BUCS River Race has been postponed we though we’d run our own mini event in event in Durham.
The intention is to run a time trial from shincliffe bridge (just upstream of the boathouse) to boathouse bridge (Maiden Castle). This will be roughly a 6 min paddle for people in river boats.
Since it’s an easy course this would be an ideal time for current members to try out a wave hopper, C1 or C2. You don't need to have ever have raced or canoed much before: that's the whole reason we're training!
Afterward we might head to Spoons or the Waffle house for lunch, but we'll let you know :)
